FABRIC provided an immersive and unique lighting design for the first installment of Side By Side in the Adelaide CBD. A day and evening event showcasing local and international artists across disco, house and techno.
Fabric Creative was responsible for the design, build and implementation of the plywood stage construction, TourLED Installation and production event operations.
Fabric Creative worked with local artist Henry Jarman of Myth Studios to develop the curvaceous stage and accompanying venue settings. Constructed in-house with the team from Myth Studios the 3.6m tall stage facade presented a bold beginning to the side by side brand next to the Funktion-One system driven over from Melbourne for the day.
After the concepts were finalised the construction was converted to manufacturing drawings for construction. The stage design perfectly couples around standard trussing placing no load on the truss members allowing a 3m high box truss construction to be run through the facade.
The Curve continued across the roof of the structure with a custom printed shade cloth with side by side branding.
side by side utilised over 100m of TourLED Pixel and TourLED Frost units as well as the new TourRACK E-series processing units. The immersive stage design with wrap around led side-wings produced a dancefloor experience like no other.
